Holidays happy

Enjoyed a respite from work over the festive period. Christmas day was a lunch with everyone where i’m staying followed by a dinner at some friends house in Clapham North, near where I used to live. Spent way too much money on drinking and catching cabs (who conveniently charge double the normal prices this time of year which roughly equates to a deposit on a property in Australia). Good day though.

New year’s I went to a cafe in Soho where a friend manages the place. Countdown at a cocktail bar close by and then onto a nearby house party. Fairly early and cheap night much to my relief in the morning. Apparently the fireworks on the Thames were great - they had fireworks forming faces and stuff in mid-air - but I missed it all.

Apart from that been doing a lot of sleeping, eating, movie-watching and even a light spot of touristing through London.

Starting to cement my plans for the next month. Heading to Tokyo in February for a week and hopefully catching up with my mate Josh from Melbourne who is teaching English to schoolkids. Then heading to Melbourne in mid-Feb. Off to Brazil for a month in mid-March and then back to London for a couple of months before resuming the travel trail through Europe. Go captain planet.

Don’t know how many people visit your site , but I’d appreciate if my impending ‘ significant event ‘ was not afforded such a pre eminent spot on the front page!!
Is there a cure for this travel bug thing? Wish we’d never taught you the Marco Polo game when you were young—and by the way happy birthday week up till next Wednesday.
Can’t wait to see you real soon for eating, drinking, walking, swimming , surfing and celebrating, and maybe you’ll discover Australia is the best place to live and travel and tourist, etc, etc,

Love Roscoe

Would like you to reaffirm your commitment to moving back to Melbourne end of 07.

Now.

Please.

Geez…anyone would think that you were missed Cam….what a good plan! You are going to be doted over when you return and just quietly I think you will be able to milk it for quite a while…and when it wears off, just play the “I’m thinking of travelling to ….’ card ;) and leave random printouts from your blog around the house and that should keep you in good stead for another couple of months!!

I figure this is probably the best avenue for talking to the extended family so I apologise in advance!

Ross: Are you seriously not going to have a party for your up and coming ’significant event’? I would really love you to reconsider if not…and I’m not being sarcastic (yes, mark this down as the second time ever)…anyway, would be great to celebrate with you while cam is back…just think about it.

Sarah: I think I’ve just had a marvellous idea for a birthday present for you. A massive poster of Campbell (autographed of course) and I’ll frame it so you can hang it on your wall ;P Ok, enough of being a smart arse (for now).

Looking forward to seeing you upon your return Cam and we will celebrate you know what even if you know who doesn’t join in!

Take care mate and see you soon…oh, and happy birthday!! (I’ve already sent an email just for those who might think I forgot until the end of the message!)
